Kenwood Ts-2000 Serial Number Lookup
Hi All,I have a previous message posted concerning 2 TS-950sdx's andthis subject. I have another question though-If a Kenwood radio hasspanned 10 years or more, how do you tell which decade it wasmanufactured in??Does anyone know when the TS-950SDX started in production???I know that there was an 'S' and an 'SD' model before the 'SDX'. I amlooking at 2 SDX'S, and one of their serial #'s start with 00, and theother one starts with 10. The guy with the 00 model says that hebought it in 1999, which could make sense as 00 translates into either1988 or 1998.

I don't think the SDX was manufactured in 1988. Cartridge conversion book. The guywith the one starting with 10 is not the original owner, and thinks itis an older one.
Could it have been manufactured in 1989??? I don'tthink the SDX went back that far.
