Yes I received it yesterday it is of a superb quality as you would expect from Sony. I registered it online and downloaded the traffic (£20), speed cameras and traffic light warnings! Mate the suction cup spins round. You CAN mount it on the screen or the dash. I too must say how amazing it is. Still find it hard to get over how clear the screen is and its huge.Really very impressed with it overall.

Annoyances include:can't set UK as default, must tell it what country you want every time.not accurate to house numbers, my house doesn't exist on their softwaretraffic updates really only good for motorwayssoftware doesn't work with vista. (had to revert to the bios and tell it to boot form a backup of XP i did a few weeks ago. Lucky i only just changed to vista)no ac charger as standard, had to sit in the car for 15 minutes to give itenough charge to sync it to pc for camera updates.
Oh yes the sucker does spin roundI have found house numbers so far to be spot onYes the country default to GB would be nice but hey its only seconds we are talking to scroll downI saw it on Play for that price, but opted for Sony direct as they had a 14day money back warranty and Play were out of stock and I needed it in a few days. I have been very happy with it so far and has served me perfect to a pinpoint on every location I have entered.My son loves it sitting in the back he can see it and I dont get the 'are we nearly there yet' as he can see the miles and time go down.My wife who said it was a waste of money initially used it today to go her cousins new house in the sticks and has come home raving about it in awe at its accuracy. Maybe all sat navs are like this I dont know, but im very pleased with my Sony.

Ian, you can activate audio warnings of speed traps by the following method:Form the main screen, select More. Settings General Settings Scroll down to the 7th page and the top selection is 'Advanced Warnings' if you select this and highlight the three speed traps, then you shall have the woman say 'Beware, Watch your speed' before every camera.To all others out there I can confirm that there is no Bluetooth on the unit, however, the unit is sooooo sexy it makes up for it. The TMC has saved my butt alot over the pass couple of days as people keep crashing on the M6!!Hope this helps people out. When I go to the checkout and agree to the terms & conditions I get sent straight back to 'my basket' with an message saying 'an error occured starting the payment process'. I have asked contacted sony but I am still waiting for a reply.Anybody out there who can help?Thanks in advanceGary. Hi allGot mine yesterday, l had the NV-U50 before & was very pleased so upgraded as l am going to France & Italy this weekend.Used it for a 200 mile round trip and loved it, far better than the older model.Switched it on this morning to add the destinations for the holiday and the safety cams.
Just my luck, it just sits on the loading page. Tried the reset, left it off for a while then switched it on, charged it (although fully charged) and nothing - it just sits there!Sony are not much help when you call them - 'have you tried resetting the unit yet?' .Anyone else had a similar problem?

No time to exchange now so will either have to pay out £90 for the european maps for my old one or buy another!Thanks. Just got my NV-U92TW, and when connecting it to my laptop the screen on the sat nav constantly shows a picture of the device 'connecting' to each otherhow long should it do this for, as it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Have I not done something I should be doing. I've registered the device on the sony website and installed the software that came with it.Help PLEASE!Hi YidWhat is happening is your Sat Nav is being charged by the USB port and nothing else.What you need to do first is go to the Sony Navu website and complete your profile fully. Then go to the camera updates and enter the model number and UK. This will tell you of the free 1 year camera updates. Although it says £0 make out you are going to buy it.
Accept the terms and conditions then you will be able to download the file to your Sony NV folder which was created when you installed active sync. Then connect as you did and hey presto it will be on your sat nav.I found it confusing at first until I worked it out. Sony product support were useless when I phones them. They didn`t know what I was talking about.Anyway Good luck. So i got my u92 over the weekend as well.when i plug it into my macbook, the charging light comes on, but as far as i can tell, it does not charge the device.as i thought, the software disc that comes with the u92 is not mac compatible. This is something of a pain, as i will have to drag out my old windows laptop to install the software. As im not gonna keep that out for long, seems like i will have to charge it via the in car adapter, or buy the AC charger which does not come with the device.on the other hand, its a nice piece of kit, the screen is nice and large and clear, and it navigated me to several places that i wanted to go to, without much trouble, so thats cool.

I suppose all these devices have a button called 'home' which then calculates the route back to your house with one button. Simple but so effective!!the in car charger is a massive thing, i dont really like it and the cable looks messy hanging down from the dashboard.krlock3. Since the reload I've had the unit in my car, on the mount (so flap is up), with a very clear view of the sky and it's been on for hours at a time and still shows 'loading'.When I try to switch off it goes to the 'NAVU' screen but doesn not actually switch off so I have to reset it.I'm now looking to find another owner who can use activ sync to backup their unit and let me have the file so i can restore it to my unit.
